Makerstoun House is available for Summer, and potentially, Winter events. A marquee is usually erected on the Eastern Lawn, where the Southern side of the tent might open on to the spectacular view over the River Tweed and surrounding countryside.
Use of the House may also be possible upon request. The Dining room and Drawing room sometimes are preferred venues for wedding photos.
The nearby Makerstoun Church, ref the third picture on the right; serves as a brilliant venue for small weddings. The church is 10 minutes walk from Makerstoun House, and has newly built lavatories.
The house is a home and therefore some care and respect is necessary.
